"Willie's Best Fiend" is the 2nd episode of Season 4. Willie makes a friend with none other than a small snorkeater, and nobody approves of their friendship.
Over at the Wetworth's residence, Junior is babysitting Willie. However, he is only flipping channels as Willie begs Junior to play with him becuase he's bored. After Junior refuses, Willie decides to go play outside. He then meets a light pink colored Snorkeater named Lizzie, who is bored and has no one to play with her either. While at the house, Governor Wetworth and Mrs. Wetworth ask Junior where Willie is, and he lies about playing hide and seek with him before confessing that he really lost him.
Meanwhile, Willie and Lizzie continue playing ball outside before Willie invites her to visit his house. Junior sees Lizzie with his own snork, and then he swims away frightened. While the two young ones are riding on a few stuffed seahorses, Junior tells his parents that Willie "was being held hostage" by a small snorkeater. Governor Wetworth faints upon hearing about it and actually seeing it for himself. They immediately contacted Corky about the situation. Then Lizzie suggests they go to her house. As they went out the backdoor, Junior assuems he had been "taken away." Willie and Lizzie have already declared themselves best friends, but when they get to her house, her parents want to eat him, although Lizzie refuses to let Willie be eaten becuase she thinks snorks can make good friends.
Lizzie's parents tried to get her back, and so do the Wetworths and Corky. However, a wild goose chase takes place as a nasty sea storm begins to brew. Willie and Lizzie hide in the cave, now afraid they won't be able to be friends with each other becuase of their parents getting in the way. The snorks catch the snorkeaters, and vice versa. During the seastorm, they end up working together to find the lost children, and they are saved thanks to them being inside Coral Canyon. Their parents and Corky rescue them, and despite the differences amongst the parents, they say it's okay for Willie and Lizzie to see each other.
